Junlei Li has been a programmer and software designer in Tianjin, China since 1999. Junlei began programming on i systems (formerly known as AS/400, iSeries) in 2005. He is familiar with most programming languages available on IBM i. Junlei Li's open-source project, i5/OS Programmer's Toolkit, is documented on his website (i5toolkit.sourceforge.net).

Using MI Instruction CALLPGMV 
Table of contents: Historically, external calls in HLLs could not take advantage of specific features at the MI level; but that changed with i 5.3 and the introduction of the CALLPGMV MI instruction. This instruction lets programmers dynamically determine both a program to be called and the argument list to the called program and reduces the time necessary to resolve program objects with system pointers. And if that isn't enough, CALLPGMV also provides a method for suppressing adopted authorities.
